MedFlash Methodology

Questions in MedFlash are organised by historical exam sessions of the medical licensing exam in Israel. Each session corresponds to a real exam that was administered.

Questions are not automatically generated — they are collected from specific historical sources, which allows users to understand the real format and subject matter of the exam.

Some questions contain images (clinical photos, X-rays) and tables with laboratory values. Each image is manually verified against the source material of the question.

Images are stored in a secure storage with time-limited signed URLs — they are not publicly accessible and cannot be used outside the preparation context.

The correct answer for each question is treated as canonical exam data — it is not generated or guessed. If the official answer key contained a correction, the corrected version is used.

Some questions include educational explanations that help understand the clinical reasoning behind an answer. Explanations are intended for learning and may be incomplete or contain inaccuracies.

Some explanations are created or supplemented using AI tools. AI can make mistakes. Explanations do not replace a textbook, official sources, or consultation with a teacher.

If you believe an explanation contains an error — please let us know.

• Exams — questions from a specific session, no hints, with a final score.
• Mock exam — a random selection of questions from multiple sessions, simulating the exam format.
• Mistake review — questions answered incorrectly return until you answer correctly.
• Saved — any question can be added to a personal list for review.
• Medical terms — working with medical terminology using spaced repetition.
