XP operating system or newer:
- The removable Disk window will open. If it does not open, double click on My Computer then double click Removable Disk below the heading "Devices with Removable Storage".
- Double click on the Install folder.
- Double click on Setup.exe. You will then see the progress bar.
- You will see the License Agreement screen. Click the option button "I agree to the terms of this license agreement".
- Click Finish.
- A box will appear asking Run Now?
- Click OK to run the program.

- Click Start on your computer's home screen
- Click Programs
- Click MedFlash EMR
- You are now ready to start adding your health and wellness information.

XP operating system or newer:
- Insert the MedFlash device into an available USB port.
- Verify that you are connected to the Internet.

Depending on your system configuration, follow the steps below:
- If a dialog appears with "Run MedFlash Software" highlighted, click OK and the program will load or,
- If a window appears displaying "Devices with Removable Storage", doubleclick on the MedFlash PHR Device icon, and then doubleclick on the MedFlash icon and the program will load or,
- If nothing appears, doubleclick on My Computer and follow the "Devices with Removable Storage" step above.
- If there are updates to MedFlash you a screen will appear asking you to install. Click Install.
- You may get a message to install a program from Microsoft named .NET 2.0. Click OK and download the software. This can take a few minutes.
- When the program loads, fill out the registration form to activate your MedFlash device.
- You are now ready to enter your personal health and lifestyle information.

The main file "MyMedData.txt" can be overwritten. It is a simple text file. MedFlash keeps the data in several locations, so if this happens, plug your MedFlash into your computer and click on "Load Information". This will display your last saved data. Then click on "Save Information" and the text file will be recreated. If you need assistance, just contact us and we will guide your through it.

How does the ambulance service or hospital emergency room get information from my MedFlash?

There is a text file on the root directory called "MyMedData.txt". They use any text editor or any word processor to access this file and review your personal health record.

Fill out the card that comes with your MedFlash. On the front of the card you will see "In case of emergency go to Med-Flash.com to find my critical information " The emergency personnel can then click on the emergency access button and enter your emergency ID code to get your information.
